Giving Every Child a Chance to Succeed

Empowering every child with quality education for a brighter future. Join us in breaking the cycle of poverty, one family at a time.

We're dedicated to providing quality education and opportunities for every child, aiming to break the cycle of poverty in marginalized communities. By establishing schools and offering free primary education to over 3,000 children in Bangladesh, we believe in empowering both children and their families through education, vocational training, and livelihood development. Join us today in creating a lasting impact and building a brighter future for all.

The Challenges Marginalized Communities Face

Completing school is a challenge for children from marginalized communities, where many may drop out before completing their primary education. Many of those who do are unable to secure jobs or further their education, reinforcing the poverty cycle.

Lack of educational resources

The lack of basic learning necessities leads to poor academic performance

Lack of livelihood opportunities

Limited chances to succeed in life reinforce poverty and a sense of hopelessness

Lack of mentorship

Familial pressure to work and an absence of proper guidance leave them to make the wrong choices in life

Our Impact Areas

What sets IHF apart is our holistic 4-pillared approach. We believe that education for children is the key to breaking this cycle, but we also actively involve parents to combat the cycle of poverty. Our empowerment and training programs help older family members generate new sources of income, through which we aim to cover at least half of our expenses for the education program. At the same time, we provide relief to the community to support them during times of crisis.

Meet Nadia

Nadia, a 3-year-old girl in Nandipara, Dhaka, used to face challenges in accessing early education due to her mother's work as a maid and the lack of safe daycare facilities in the slum. The homeowners where Nadia's mother works disapprove of having her child around, making job opportunities scarce. "Chakar School", IHF's school-on-wheels program, became a glimmer of hope for Nadia, providing free pre-primary lessons for slum children. Nadia's mother, relieved, entrusts her to the school, paving the way for a brighter future as Nadia prepares to transition to formal education.

Chakar School's impact extends beyond Nadia, creating a legacy of transformation for marginalized children. In a world often unkind, the school stands as a beacon of safety and compassion, shaping lives and guiding them toward a better tomorrow.

Meet Sabrina

Sabrina, a determined girl from Rangpur, faced financial hurdles in pursuing her dream of serving in the defense forces. The "Hatey Khori" initiative provided a beacon of hope. Enrolling in IHF's Vocational Training Program, she eagerly embraced the Driving and Auto Mechanics Course, gaining vital skills. As the final exam approached, a mix of anxiety and determination fueled her.

On the awaited day, Sabrina reminisced about her unwavering efforts. When the instructor announced her success, tears of joy flowed. The certificate she held represented more than a driving course; it was a stepping stone toward her dream. Sabrina's achievement became an inspiration for the community, instilling newfound confidence and support from Hatey Khori as she felt prepared to face any challenges on her journey ahead.
