The Challenges Marginalized Communities Face

Completing school is a challenge for children from marginalized communities, where many may drop out before completing their primary education. Many of those are unable to secure jobs or further their education, reinforcing the poverty cycle.

Lack of Educational Resources

The lack of basic learning necessities leads to poor academic performance

Lack of livelihood opportunities

Limited chances to succeed in life reinforce poverty and a sense of hopelessness

Lack of Mentorship

Familial pressure to work and an absence of proper guidance leave them to make the wrong choices in life

Our Impact Areas

Our impact areas encompass education, livelihood development, youth development, and emergency relief program. By focusing on these key areas, we aim to create a sustainable livelihood for the communities we serve. Through our programs & projects, we provide quality education to children, empower families to generate new income sources, support youth in their personal and professional development, and offer essential relief during times of crisis. Together, these efforts create a holistic support system that drives lasting change in the communities we serve.

Rising Beyond Boundaries:
Ameena’s Journey

Ameena is a 12-year-old student at the IHF School, Kolcondo Campus, in Gangachara, Rangpur—a remote char away from all the hustle and bustle. She’s a quiet, thoughtful girl who loves reading about the world beyond her village. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day so that she can help people like his mother, who struggles with her health daily.

Ameena hopes that one day, she’ll be able to return to her village as a doctor, offering care and treatment to the people who need it most. She wants to build a clinic where families won’t have to travel far and spend all their money just to see a doctor.Ameena’s mother, Ayesha, is a kind-hearted woman who has always put her family first. Despite her chronic illness, she works tirelessly at home, doing all she can to provide for her family. But living in their remote village, access to proper healthcare is a constant challenge. There are no doctors in the village, and the cost of visiting a clinic is more than they can afford. This often leaves Ameena feeling helpless when her mother is sick, especially when there’s nothing she can do to ease her pain.

Meet Sabrina

Sabrina, a determined girl from Rangpur, faced financial hurdles in pursuing her dream of serving in the defense forces. The "Hatey Khori" initiative provided a beacon of hope. Enrolling in IHF's Vocational Training Program, she eagerly embraced the Driving and Auto Mechanics Course, gaining vital skills. As the final exam approached, a mix of anxiety and determination fueled her.

On the awaited day, Sabrina reminisced about her unwavering efforts. When the instructor announced her success, tears of joy flowed. The certificate she held represented more than a driving course; it was a stepping stone toward her dream. Sabrina's achievement became an inspiration for the community, instilling newfound confidence and support from Hatey Khori as she felt prepared to face any challenges on her journey ahead.
