IHF Holds Closing and Distribution Ceremony of Zakat Campaign 2026 in Syedpur

Continuing the tradition of previous years, It’s Humanity Foundation (IHF) organized its Zakat Campaign 2026 throughout the holy month of Ramadan this year as well. As part of this initiative, the campaign’s closing and distribution ceremony was held on 19 March 2026 at Al Faruk Academy in Syedpur.

The event brought together around 300 beneficiaries, reflecting the campaign’s broad reach and meaningful impact within the community. Through this initiative, IHF sought not only to provide immediate support during Ramadan and ahead of Eid, but also to promote dignity, resilience, and self-reliance among people from marginalized communities.

Under the campaign, a total of 50 individuals received a range of items designed to improve their quality of life and strengthen their ability to become more self-sufficient. The distributed items included rickshaws, vans, sewing machines, wheelchairs, crutches, bicycles, and other essential household support materials. These items were selected to address both mobility and livelihood needs, helping beneficiaries move toward greater independence and stability.

In addition, on the occasion of Eid, around 300 people received food assistance, new clothing, and other daily necessities. This support aimed to ensure that families in need could observe Eid with greater comfort, dignity, and joy.

The event was chaired by Md. Adnan Hossain, Founder and Executive Director of It’s Humanity Foundation. In his remarks, he highlighted the organization’s ongoing work and its commitment to improving the lives of marginalized communities through practical and compassionate interventions. He also emphasized the significance of zakat-based support programmes in creating both immediate relief and long-term impact.

Speaking at the event, he shared the vision behind this year’s campaign:

“This year, we structured our Zakat Campaign under three major components—Zakat for Education, Zakat for Livelihood Development, and a month-long food assistance program during Ramadan for extremely poor and people from marginalized communities. Our goal is not only to provide immediate support but also to improve quality of life, uphold dignity, and create pathways toward long-term self-reliance.”

This year’s campaign reflected IHF’s broader belief that zakat can be a transformative tool when it is thoughtfully designed and effectively delivered. By combining education support, livelihood assistance, and Ramadan food distribution, the campaign addressed urgent needs while also investing in longer-term well-being for vulnerable families and individuals.

Also present at the event was Shaharul Islam Sakib, Assistant Manager of the Communication and PR Department of the organization.

As IHF continues its work across Bangladesh, the Zakat Campaign 2026 stands as a reminder of what collective compassion can achieve. Through the support of donors, well-wishers, and partners, initiatives like this help restore dignity, expand opportunity, and bring hope to communities that need it most.
